Hi there!
Get Your Dentist On
The goal of this site is to to help you become the best dentist you can be, no matter your background or what step of the process.
I began this site after having several people ask for advice on becoming a dentist. I realized that the process can seem like a daunting task, especially if you do not come from a legacy of dentists. After being stationed in middle America as a dentist for the US Army, It became clear that finding a good mentor was not always easy. This site is my attempt to fill this void.
Whether you’re debating if dentistry is the right profession for you or have already decided that you want to apply to dental school, Get Your Dentist On wants to help you excel in your career goals.
On this site you’ll find information geared towards helping you succeed in your professional endeavors. From information regarding both the joys and demands of being a dentist, to what dental schools look for in potential applicants, to the expected timeline for the application process, this website aims to be a useful resource where you can seek answers. Those interested in military dentistry from a female perspective are also encouraged to submit questions regarding the benefits, challenges, and expectations of being employed as a dentist by the US Army.
I believe that people can maintain healthy lifestyles that balance career goals with personal life as they embark on the path to becoming successful dentists. Getting into dental school, doing well while there, and becoming a respected professional are all achievable. Let me and others on this site help guide you on your future path.
